Like many in our connection obsessed culture, I have my cell phone on at all times. I’ve never been in another place, like New Mexico, where there is so much space that you can drive through, but where there is no cell phone connection. In this image, outside Bernallio, half of the picture shows where I can make a call, and half not. It’s the line between help and being stranded. Not being able to call may be one of the few remaining vestiges we have of the Wild West.
